John Biggins - Cinematographer

John has over 20 years experience as a cinematographer, having been based in Australia, USA and the UK over that time. He works extensively in drama, TVC and documentary production.

His recent feature film, the thriller Primal has been released in the US and Australia. The feature film Codgers has also been recently completed, with Australian cinema distribution underway.

John’s previous feature film Black Water received wide spread international cinema release and his cinematography was recognised with a silver ACS award.

Documentary films shot by John and screened in 2011 include Wide Open Road - 3 x 1hrs for ABC TV about the history of the car in Australia, Immigration Nation (Renegade Films / SBS), and In Their Footsteps for Shine Australia / Nine Network. His natural history documentary Feral Peril took out a Golden Tripod at the 2010 National ACS Awards.

>Prior to undertaking a freelance career, John attended A.F.T.R.S. in Sydney, where he undertook advanced cinematography tuition. This was soon followed by his first DOP credit on a major release Australian feature film, the comedy “Occasional Coarse Language”.
